Product code: J-DSC-Edinburgh2019

Edinburgh

August 2, 2019

  • 1 day face-to-face masterclass
  • Taught by Dr Thierry Worch
  • Hands on training course at Edinburgh facility – computers provided
  • Price includes all refreshments and lunch
  • Follows the Pangborn conference

This one day workshop following the Pangborn conference in Edinburgh covers the common issues with discrimination testing. Discrimination tests have been around for years and hence are widely used by companies. Yet, they often seem more complex than expected. In our experience many discrimination tests (evaluating differences or similarities between samples) are designed around practical constraints (cost/availability) rather than on sound statistical principals. This workshop highlights the risks involved in this strategy and looks at methods for defining similarity/difference thresholds, as well as test methods and analyses for robust sensory claims testing.

For full workshop outline including a detailed list of topics, please view the course flyer (see below).
